Diet for Constipation

About Diet for Constipation

Diet for Constipation is a food-nutrition data project. We took the USDA FoodData Central database and built a transparent rating system that answers one everyday question: when you are constipated, what should you eat — and what should you skip?

We are a data editorial team, not doctors or dietitians. Every rating on this site comes from published nutrition numbers and public clinical guidance — never personal opinion, and never medical advice. Where clinical evidence is strong (prunes, kiwifruit, rye bread, oats), the rating reflects it; where a food is simply neutral, we say so honestly.

Sources we anchor on include USDA FoodData Central, the NIDDK, the AGA, and the King's College London 2025 constipation guideline. See how we rate foods for the full methodology.

This website is informational only and based on public data from USDA FoodData Central and published nutrition research. It is maintained by the Diet for Constipation data editorial team — not medical professionals. Nothing here is medical advice; consult a qualified healthcare provider about persistent constipation or any health condition.
